I noticed that the day that the Slavery Abolition Act was signed in England was exactly 130 years, to the day, before Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech on August 28, 1963.
The photo is of the industrial section of Grant Street in Bellingham, heading south toward downtown.
I did macrame wall-hangings like that too in 1970. I haven't thought of it in years.

TaraDharma -- My guess was that Jimi Hendrix referred to 1833 in reference to the days of slavery. I Googled “1833” and found this:
