About ten years ago, when I was out west visiting a friend, we stayed for a week at his dad's helping to care for his mom after she took a serious stroke. His dad had a bunch of tapes he had made of his favourite songs from the 30s and 40s - recording the music from records borrowed from the library and doing his own FM-radio-style introductions to each piece. It was such a fun break from what might otherwise have been a rather sad week for all of us. Listening to those tunes is now part of a favourite memory from my past.bevhttp://magickcanoe.com/blog14noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6877731088554997649.post-9171270517151773722011-02-11T16:02:51.520-08:002011-02-11T16:02:51.520-08:00i love the idea of your father's day continuin...i love the idea of your father's day continuing to be 'his' day. good for you. kjmAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6877731088554997649.post-6775046008578501422011-02-11T15:19:16.533-08:002011-02-11T15:19:16.533-08:00A lovely remembrance.A lovely remembrance.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6877731088554997649.post-78341035438945800272011-02-11T14:30:37.135-08:002011-02-11T14:30:37.135-08:00Don't you think, back then, high school senior...Don't you think, back then, high school seniors look much more mature than they do now? They probably were, having more adult responsibilities than most current day teens.

A lovely photo of your dad.
