I live on the north side of Lake Stevens, Wa. There have been two young eagles around for a while, sometimes flying right over me. The most interesting to me was when one was in a bare top tree and the other was flying around. The sound from the one in the tree got louder and louder the further away the other was. It seemed it was afraid to land in the tree. Lasted about 15 min. A very nice experience. We have a nest with Martha and George adult eagles on Lundeen Parkway, Lake Stevens
robin andrea and Anonymous -- Thanks for stopping by. We are so lucky to be able to see and hear (or to have seen and heard in the past) the eagles. I haven't seen the young eagles flying, but I did see them standing on the nest a few weeks ago.
It's been several years now since I heard that sound. So wonderful to hear it again.
