Bob Dylan's message: "Stay safe, stay observant and may God be with you"
The title of the song offered by Bob Dylan yesterday is a quotation from Hamlet, where the Ghost comments about his own death: "Murder most foul as in the best it is / But this most foul, strange and unnatural."

I just listened to this song today. It is so profoundly moving. I would love to know what compelled him to write it now. We are living in such unsettling times. This song pulled us today, reminded us of where we've been, what we've experienced in our lives... all the pain, all the music. Just listening to it made me want to reach out to you. We heard this song all the way to our hearts today.
Thank you for your note, robin andrea. You inspired me to listen yet another time. My understanding is that "Murder Most Foul" was recorded around 2012 when his album titled "Tempest" was released. The assassination of President Kennedy shook and changed the world of Bob Dylan's youth in something of the way the world is being shaken and changed by COVID-19. His third album, "The Times They are a Changin',"was released two months after the assassination.
