It breaks my heart to know that Bob Dylan's song Masters of War is still as relevant as it was when it was first written many years ago. My heart goes out to all of those affected by the war in Ukraine. And to all those affected by all the wars that we don't hear so much about. It's a lot to take in.
I needed to sing this tonight.
Humanity, we have a long way to go.

Humans are inclined to war, that's all there is to it. Part of being human.
This song was released the same year I was born. Sixty years later the words still reflect our world. Why?

Seems always someone emerging to instigate war. Perhaps someday that will cease but seems not in my lifetime so far.
There is never an end to war and no limit to which we will not stoop to inflict savagery on each other.
