Three New Mornings

Third Morning

(that bright spot at the bottom of the photo is the sun reflected in Lake Whatcom)

(On the Third Morning, the first thing I noticed was the sun reflected dramatically in Lake Whatcom.  When I was out on my porch trying to photograph it, I noticed the sun itself shining through the fog, gradually becoming brighter but not as bright as its reflection in the water.  The autumn birds were singing)

Love these photos, am. So beautiful.

I always like seeing photos of the sun's progress. The more closely one follows it, I think, the more aware one is that the sun doesn't "rise" - the earth turns. It makes you realize how small the earth is!

Particularly liked the sun through the fog. For a moment,I thought it was the moon but no.

Dominic -- Thank you for your comments. For some reason, my comments on your blog aren't showing up recently. I really liked "Zebra Hill" and left a long comment. I've left other comments that didn't show up either. Just wanted to let you know.

I found two of your comments, thank you! Wordpress thought they were spam and had sent them to the spam folder, which I didn't know existed until now! I think I've reinstated them!

I suspect that from now on they'll realize you're not spam but I'll check the spam folder just in case.
