Thank you so much, am. We're okay here. We were without power from 2:34 am until 8:00 pm last night. It was quite an earthquake. We woke to the house shaking like crazy, the windows rattling and things falling everywhere. Only one of our old teapots crashed to the kitchen floor and broke. Other than that it was a dark day without power, very cold and dreary. That shake was the second largest earthquake I've ever experienced. Quite scary and a bit traumatizing.
So glad you got to see a Varied thrush. They are so beautiful.

So good to know you and Roger are okay. You've been in my thoughts. Emotional aftershocks are part of being human. Our planet is a truly beautiful and mysterious place, with unexpected trauma as well as unexpected beauty like that Varied Thrush who made an appearance on the same day as the earthquake.

That's extraordinary pictures and song of the little thrush, these glimpses of nature are so special. It seems to be snowing too. We had a lot of snow recently but it has thawed now. And on the solstice, to think that the light is returning is heartening. Very best, Morelle
