THE MUSICIANS

Garth Hudson, from an interview by Martin Scorsese in the film, "The Last Waltz":

"There is a view that jazz is 'evil' because it comes from evil people, but actually the greatest priests on 52nd Street and on the streets of New York City were the musicians.

Hello, Old Girl Of the North Country! This is the Girl From the North Country at girlfromthenorthcountry.wordpress.com. Thanks so much for saying hi on my site. It's exciting to meet someone else who has lived the places I have lived/am going to live.

Your artwork is incredible. Do you mainly do painting and photography?

ann -- Thanks for stopping by. Glad to hear that you enjoyed seeing my art work. Lately I do more photography than painting. Hope to do more drawing and painting. Much of my art work was inspired by Bob Dylan and painted while listening to his music, beginning around 1966. I see that you like his music, too.
