Didn't know Jacob Lawrence at all. Thanks for the intro, am. (Unfortunately, I must pass on the poem; it's printed too small for me, even with glasses.)

The Hiroshima Series was displayed at the Whatcom Museum in Bellingham in the early 1980's. We are not far from Seattle, where Jacob Lawrence taught at the University of Washington. Jacob Lawrence's work is a major influence on my art work.
