we would be wise to listen to our First Nations people but then we Americans, for the most part, aren't very wise.

I opened the link and bookmarked it so I can spend some time with it.

What a sad history this country has with slavery and subjugation. American Indians are still getting a raw deal in so many ways. And in Canada, there is a similar movement by Native peoples to share their history. Like us, the Canadians put native children in boarding schools to wipe out their culture.
