An African Violet that was given to me last spring has been dormant for several months. In recent weeks I noticed a few buds. Today on the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., the first bud has opened, and there are many more blooms to come.

lovely african violet. my mother grew them. I even had a few for a while but I don't remember what happened to them. maybe I gave them away.
A very beautiful African Violet flower. How lovely that it bloomed on Martin Luther King's birthday.
Lovely symbolism. Hello, my friend.
My mother's favourites, she had a knack for them, moving them just so to get enough but not too much sun and propagating them like wild fire.
