Xylophone / Blogging as an art form / Filling a page in any way I choose

A commenter wanted to know the name of an instrument that appears in this part of "Carnival of the Animals."  The instrument is a xylophone.

The word fossils reminded me of this:

*

And made me smile

*

And go out on my porch to see the sunshine

*

And think about what I will draw next

While thinking about the good books I have been reading recently:

1.  Heidi, by Johanna Spyri.
2.  Life? or Theater?, by Charlotte Salomon.
3.  We Walk the Path Together:  Learning from Thich Nhat Hanh & Meister Eckhart, by Brian J. Pierce, OP.
4.  Last Chance Texaco:  Chronicles of an American Troubador, by Rickie Lee Jones.
5.  A Walking Life:  Reclaiming Our Health and Our Freedom One Step at A Time, by Antonia Malchik.
6.  Renegades:  Born in the USA, by Barack Obama.
7.  Six Nonlectures, by E. E. Cummings.
8.  Stirring The Mud:  On Swamps, Bogs, And Human Imagination, by Barbara Hurd.

Remembering that I dreamed a few days ago that I saw my younger self from behind on a sunny winter day with a deep blue cloudless sky.   My younger self was alone and joyful, riding a chestnut horse at a slow canter on a lightly worn path through tall grass and California oak trees.  It was a loop path that created an engaging asymmetrical pattern when seen from above.

I wish there were still dinosaurs here on earth. I would love to see one playing in the snow like that.
How wonderful to dream of your younger self, joyful and riding a chestnut horse. Truly lovely.

Beautiful you! I've struck up an online friendship with Antonia Malchik, mainly from reading her sublime Substack. You should check it out if you don't already!
